Born and raised in New York City, Sara works as an Art Educator teaching young students to use art as a means of understanding the world around them and how they see themselves in it. Having grown up as a dancer, she is a firm believer that all forms of art strengthen communities, and are not only valuable, but a necessity to life. Her background in street art is woven into her teachings as she demonstrates the importance of art- both permanent and impermanent. She holds an MA in Art Education from the City College of New York and a Bachelor’s in Visual Arts from SUNY New Paltz.
